Tatanka Getaway with Hot tub & Game Room

No AC in upstairs bedroom setup. The room was 90F and four people were sleeping in it. Two people spent 1.5 hours finding an AC in the garage and installing it. The exhaust wasn’t hooked up and I had to do that. Additionally, the AC in the game room didn’t work. The breaker was tripped and the exhaust for the AC was not installed. I fixed all of that too. The host was unhelpful. For this amount of money, things should be set up, operational, and the host should be helpful. Failed on all ends and did not meet my expectations.

Very comfortable stay! The Tetanka had everything we needed. The beds are comfortable and the area is quiet. The house had a perfect location for us; it’s situated conveniently to Custer State Park and other Black Hills attractions.

Wonderful home, perfect to getaway. Positive: Location was close to Custer but in the trees! Plenty of room for family to spread out. Lots of interesting yard art to take in. Negative: Limited to no cell phone service, but WiFi closed the gap.

Good cabin with a nice set up. Rented this cabin because it had a hot tub with it, and the hot tub did not work. It obviously had not been checked or maintained. It was in lockdown mode the whole time. Luckily one of our people has a hot tub and knew how to handle it. Turns out it was very low on water that it threw into lockdown mode. After some maintenance by us we got it going. Very disappointed in that as we did not get to use it one of the nights we were planning on because of this. By the time we figured out to fill it up with water, reset it, and let it heat up, we lost the whole day time of it.I did love the set up of the rooms on each side and the coziness and options outside. The shower door in the upstairs bedroom needs some mechanical work as a door did not shut properly.Three of the beds had hard mattresses and not as cozy. The one bedroom had a memory foam mattress, which was wonderful. I would recommend updating the mattresses all of that.All in all great property, just need some upkeep and maintenance on it so it is exactly what you are advertising.
