The Haven-Rustic Secluded Cabin

Beautiful property in a fantastic location, and it looked just like the photos. Overall, the house itself is definitely 5 stars, but a few issues kept our stay from being as enjoyable as it could have been.The kitchen faucet was broken when we arrived, but management fixed it the next day, which we appreciated. The grill smelled strongly of gas while using it, although we were told it was fine. The outdoor fire pit never worked and couldn’t be repaired during our stay, so we didn’t get much use out of the deck. The deck furniture is also worn and could use replacing. The AC worked, but was extremely loud whenever it kicked on.The biggest problem was the water pressure. With three beautiful bathrooms, it was frustrating that if the dishwasher was running, showering was nearly impossible. Even flushing a toilet meant waiting several minutes before using water elsewhere.We tried to contact the owner directly about the issue but were unable to through management. We didn’t want to leave a negative review because the property has so much going for it, but at this price point, reliable water pressure should be expected.Fix the water pressure and a few maintenance items, and this could easily be an outstanding stay.

Perfect location for access to all things Black Hills. The house was great, everything we expected. Really nice hot tub to unwind after long days of excursions. Would absolutely stay again!

The kitchen was not very clean and we were told to go buy batteries for a remote that should have worked when we got there. No ice because of the filter needed to be replaced.

This home was a wonderful choice for our trip. The hot tub was so relaxing for all of us, and the space was perfect for our family of 7. There was a problem with our bed and while it wasn’t resolved because it was the weekend, they property manager was very responsive and apologetic. I was very impressed with the communication and cleanliness!! We would definitely stay here again!! Thanks for making our trip comfortable and memorable!

This was the perfect space for our adult children and family to stay with us for a wedding up in Sylvan Lake. The turn to Sylvan Lake is literally two minutes up the road. It was private and cozy. We especially loved the back porch with the babbling brook stream in the morning with coffee. The space was perfect with three bathrooms and various bedrooms/spaces for our family to stay in. We loved hanging out in the living room together playing games. We met in the owners on our last day. They were lovely and very kind as we had lost our keys outside to our car; thankfully, we had an extra set along. We definitely would stay here again! It was perfect.
